The Line of Learning statement sets out the employers vision and rationale for the new Diploma in Manufacturing and Product Design, and highlights topic content that is required by the sector. This document was written by the DDP as a result of wider consultation with industry employers.
The Criteria document is informed by the Line of Learning statement found above. This stipulates the qualification content (Principle Learning) to Awarding Bodies.
The purpose of this document is to outline the broad specialist areas for study identified by the Diploma Development Partnership (DDP). It highlights particular topics, and why a particular area of study is recommended. This document will enable the DDP and awarding bodies to identify existing provision (qualifications including single unit qualifications) or identify opportunities for developing new provision that will meet the specialist learning outlined (this document may be updated).
