Manufacturing Diploma Development Partnership
The Diploma in Manufacturing and Product Design (MPD) has been developed by the Manufacturing Diploma Development Partnership.
- Improve – the Food and Drink Sector Skills Council, leads this partnership and works in collaboration with representatives from the four other manufacturing Sector Skills Councils
- Skillfast-UK – Apparel, Fashion and Textiles
- SEMTA – Engineering Manufacture
- Proskills – Furniture, Print and Building products
- Cogent – Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Polymers
As part of this working partnership, a Steering Group has been established and its members have played an essential role in considering the development and content of the Diploma in MPD. The Steering Group members include:
- Employers and stakeholders from across the various manufacturing sectors
- Schools and Further Education (FE) colleges
- Higher Education (HE) institutions
- Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA)
- UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES)
- Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT)
