The Manufacturing Diploma Development Partnership is working with both the Learning and Skills Improvement Service (LSIS) and the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust (SSAT) to help teachers and lecturers to understand the range of learning opportunities the Diploma in Manufacturing and Product Design (MPD) has to offer, as well as to support them in teaching this new qualification to young people.

The Partnership is working with the LSIS Regional Networks for the Diploma in MPD. These networks have been created to help schools and colleges which are working together to deliver this new qualification by sharing ideas to develop best practice. Each network has a dedicated leader and an online forum, as well as different activities for teachers and lecturers to take part in.

Through linking with the nine different Regional Networks, the Partnership is helping the education workforce to develop a greater understanding of the Diploma in MPD and apply their teaching skills to this new approach to learning.

You can learn more about workforce development by visiting the LSIS website and find your local Regional Network.

The SSAT website also provides information about the help and support available for teachers and lecturers.
