Diploma resources

In this section you will find various learning materials and resources which can help you whilst studying for the Diploma in Manufacturing and Product Design (MPD).

These include competitions you can take part in and DVDs which show different manufacturing and product design processes. You can also find a range of leaflets and additional resources including links to learning programmes and useful websites.

Challenges and competitions include the Food and Drink Schools Challenge where you can design a new food or drink product. You could also choose to design a CO2 - powered car and take part in the Formula One Schools Challenge, or learn more about the world of printing by following the interactive PrintIT! learning programme.

The DVDs available show many manufacturing processes from the production of chocolate and cheese to the design of planes and animated monsters. These short films give you the chance to see manufacturing in action and the final products.

In this section, you can also find numerous leaflets about the Diploma, as well as information about how your learning can be brought to life through programmes such as the World of Work (WOW).
